It is an overview picture of Patient’s mouth. It shows both teeth and the surrounding tissues: temporomandibular joints, parts of the jaw with fragments of maxillary sinuses and the mandible. If any abnormalities are found in this picture, usually extra, more detailed radiographic examinations are needed.

This image shows the mutual alignment of the stomatognathic system of key importance in orthodontic treatment (upper and lower jaws, and the teeth in them). It is a routine examination conducted during your orthodontic diagnostics.

This three-dimensional image allows us to conduct very precise assessment of the structures shown. It makes it possible to plan with confidence very complex procedures, such as reconstruction of the bones, implants, or orthodontic treatment. It also allows us to assess with much more detail than the pantomograph does the condition of dental tissues and the bone surrounding dental roots.

With a broad imaging field (up to 16 cm x 10 cm), one picture can show not only all your teeth, but also other anatomical structures that are very important for the planning and conducting the treatment. These include temporomandibular joints and maxillary sinuses.
Our CT scanner also allows pantomographic images (necessary in daily dental work) and cephalometric x-rays (as part of diagnostics when planning orthodontic treatment).
