Paediatric dentistry

Aline Dental Centre uses friendly approach to allow our young Patients to develop beneficial oral hygiene routines providing foundation for keeping healthy smile life-long.

Our experienced dentists are aware that, in addition to
expertise and skills, time, patience
and feeling secure are equally important. These elements allows us to learn more about out youngest Patients and approach them with empathy and friendliness.

We have used proven methods to achieve that, and to make your child’s smile even more cheerful.

We are aware that treating our youngest patients is a double responsibility, since it consists not only in caring for their oral heath, but also in developing appropriate routine in them (such as getting used to regular dentist visits without fear).

Sometimes, children fearful of dentist visits present a huge challenge. But we are well prepared for all such situations.

How is dental treatment in children different?

It can be split into two groups.

First – prevention, which consists in, e.g., contact fluoridation and varnishing. Contact fluoridation involves strengthening enamel structures with fluoride compounds to directly increase tooth resistance to decay. Varnishing is to protect deep grooves in the chewing surfaces of newly erupted permanent teeth which are often inaccessible or very difficult to access for hygienisation procedures.

The other group of treatments carried out in children is conservative treatment of the milk teeth with their potential endodontic treatment.

The presence of healthy primary, milk teeth is a precondition for correct development of the oral cavity in our children. Their replacement with permanent teeth begins at about 7-8 years of age and lasts for about 4-5 years. During that time, huge changes occur in the oral cavity. At regular checkup visits, our dentists look in detail not only into the teeth themselves, but also assess correct progression of development stages in the oral cavity.

Special procedures related to our teeth is to treat any dental injuries which are statistically most common in the mix-dentition phase (or when primary teeth are gradually being replaced with permanent teeth) and early permanent dentition.
